ZJNU Student Wins First Place in 5th Annual National Poetry Reading Competition

On May 12th , The 5th annual poetry reading competition was held in the  South  China University of  Technology. Bao Yanan, an international student from ZJNU’s College of International Culture and Education won first place with his performance of 《坚持》(to persist) and an original song by the name of “Chinese, I like you”.

　 Vice-chairman of the Cantonese writers guild and famous poet, Yang Ke praised the contestants on their content, style, reciting technique, control of the stage, the  effect on the crowd and a few other areas, even picking out Bao Yanan as the contestant with the most engaging performance.

　This year’s contestants came from Beijing Institute of Technology, Tongji University, Shanghai International Studies University, Jilin University, Dalian University of Technology, Chongqing University, Tianjin University, Shanxi Normal University, Southwest University, Xinjiang Normal University, South China University, South China University of Technology and 22 Confucius institutes.
