President Jiang Guojun Celebrated the Chinese New Year's Eve with Over 300 International Students from 104 Countries
On February 7, the Chinese New Year’s Eve, at the International Exchange Center of the University, ZJNU prepared the New Year's Eve dinner for more than 300 international students who stayed on campus during the Spring Festival. President Jiang Guojun and his wife attended the event and celebrated the new year’s eve with international students.
The President made a warm speech. He briefly summarized the great achievements the university has made in the year of 2015 and shared with the international students on what the university is going to do in the coming year. He mentioned that in 2016 the university is going to celebrate her 60 years’ anniversary which is a very important occasion in the university’s history according to Chinese culture. He wishes all the international students of ZJNU a happy new year and to celebrate the university’s anniversary with hundreds of thousands of alumni around the world.
The international students were very honored to celebrate the Chinese New Year’s Eve with the President and his wife. A student from Russia said: “I came to ZJNU for half a year and really enjoyed studying here. It’s with great pleasure to celebrate the festival with so many international students from different countries. I wish everybody a happy new year.”
In recent year, more and more international students come to study at ZJNU. Ever since 2005, the President has celebrated 12 New Year's Eve with international students.
