A focus on Ancient Chinese Culture
Family photos and some “must know” information before the visit of Cuba village ruins begin. The day is quiet and the atmosphere is peaceful. Foreign students from Sudan, Pakistan, and India… are all out for the trip. Having international students out for a visit in a Chinese ancient Village is not a common thing.
A Chinese ancient village
On December 12, 2015, on the invitation of a news reporter from a Zhejiang news firm, M. Fu Ting the students affairs officer led a delegation made up of international and Chinese students to go and attended the two days first trip in two ancient Chinese villages in Zhejiang province. Different nationalities but four culture smoothly blended in a perfect harmony where out for this quest in ancient villages of Jinhua.
Keeping memories
A Sudanese international student commented : “Since I arrived at Zhejiang Normal University, this is my first time to take part in the game. Morover, it is my first time to experience such a professional photography activities with so many chinese classmates. Both villages are really beautiful, students and villagers are warm and so friendly to us. Hope I will later have the opportunity to multiply and diversify such experiences! Far from being only language, the ancient Chinese culture immediately attracted by this guy from Sudan.

An international student from Pakistan said in a fluent Chinese: “there is a say in my country that goes, long live to our friendship! Coming to China actually made me understand that, China and Pakistan in facts are brothers”. He also went on to add that having been in China for three years already, he love his Chinese friends, he loves china and he loves Zhejiang Normal University
Photography lesson

The last day of the trip, the zhejiang news reporter invited a professional photographer Wu teacher, a professor of photography; which was another added experience for students. They do not only gain the photography exchange of ideas, but also, developed international friendship with students from 15 colleges and universities who also came to take part to the event.
Our focus these recent years at the School of International education of Zhejiang Normal University has been on promoting the place of culture in teaching. From classrooms to Chinese ancient villages, festivals and other popular cultural experiences to make international students have a clue of the Chinese culture added to the language experience.
The zhejiang university photography contest also provides students with a broader foreign exchange platform, another opportunity of opening to the world.
