Zhejiang Normal Universities’ International Students Take Part In The 9th Zhejiang Talent Show

More than 150 international students from 18 different Zhejiang universities gathered in Shaoxing University to attend the international students Chinese arts performance for the 9th Zhejiang Talent show. Wang Jianli, Vice President of the university made an appearance at the event.

During the performance, international students showcased Chinese arts through an array of song, dance, yue opera, plays, double acts and other delightful performances. Through these performances the students also expressed their passion towards the “beautiful Zhejiang, beautiful life” concept that is highly linked with the talent show. 15 Zhejiang Normal University students took part in 《跳魁星 / tiaoku-stars》 a dance routine that had been choreographed by Li Na. This dance displayed incredible individuality, strong poses and an unexpected energy that was brought to life by the impressive percussion. The dancers were joined on stage by the traditional Chinese “bench dragon” (a long dragon body made out of benches and lights) which began interacting with the dancers zhuangyuan hats. The international students’ interpretation of the deep meaning in this dance partnered with the physically demanding dance moves won the applause and admiration of the audience. Aside from the performances, the “Reading Zhejiang” competition and “website of international students office competition” awards ceremonies were held in which Zhejiang normal university won first places.

    The Zhejiang international student talent show is held by the Provincial Education Department, the Provincial Government Information Office, the Provincial Foreign Affairs Office and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office and the Provincial Broadcasting Television Team.
