Cultural Sharing Event was Held at College of Mathematics, Physics and Information Engineering

In order to promote Chinese and foreign student exchanges and communication. On November 8th, College of Mathematics, Physics and Information Engineering held the first phase of the cultural sharing activities——The foreign clothing. Teacher Qiuyanghai, students and the international students attended this interesting meeting.

At the beginning of this activity, hostess welcomed all the people attended .Then the international students fromYemennamed Farris and Alalas introduced their national culture, folk customs and national costumes. And in the free part for asking questions, answered students' questions earnestly. Farris’s and Alalas's explanation made the students really feel the differences between the exotic clothes and Chinese clothes. At the same time it also made everyone has a deeper understanding of culture ofYemen.

Chinese student FuNa also made a brief introduction aout Manzu dresses. She wonderfully showed national culture for the students of audio-visual enjoyments with powerful words.

When turning to theCongo’s KazadI Nyamabo , everyone was attracted by the colorful and elaborate headdress. International student Ali from themaldivesshowed their national costume through PPT and short video. The students generated great interest when they saw the wedding clothes.

“Our college has students from 18 countries, each country's students speak different languages, which requires us to understand each other, learn from each other” teacher Qiu summarized. At the same time, he also made a few suggestions to the Chinese students. First, students in our college should caught the opportunity to communicate with foreign students and improve their foreign language skills. Second, the two sides should communicate and share their own national culture. Third, we can contact with each other in asking question or answering questions trying to use English, in order to improve our English speaking ability.
