Seminar by German Senior Engineer Andrea Di Martino
German senior engineer, senior management experts Dr. Andrea Di Martino and his assistant Ameli Alessandro were invited by the College of Economics and Management for a three-day seminar from 2015 May 15 to May 17. The lecture core contents were quality of management, project integration and scope management, time and cost management, project quality management, project risk management, project management contingency plan and other related contents.
During the three-day talks, the two experts were whole-heartedly, IMBA students were enthusiastic. During the lecture, Dr. Andrea Di Martino combined theory with practice through the analysis of aerospace engineering specific cases, and divided students into several groups playing different roles like project management, decision project managers, supply chain, process management, and other roles. Students actively participated in the discussion, and shared their opinions on different attitudes of decision-makers. Through the analysis and discussion of specific cases, the students had a better understanding of theory.
After the lecture, students spoke highly of the seminar. Students commented the lecture in these words: "The lecture was an eye opener to us that will be opting to become project managers in future." "There is a lot to emulate out of the lecture, and there were also a lot that was boring to me.”
Dr. Andrea Di Martino, senior engineer, senior consultant, is now an important operating project consultant for the German company Magirus. He had for a long period worked for Ferrari, Fiat, Alstom, Brembo, Pininfarina and other companies. Besides, he gave quality, operations management and project management courses in many universities. For Alessandro Ameli, senior engineer, and former structural engineer consultant for quality management in the German Company Magirus, its not her first time to visit our College. In 2013, he gave welcomed professional lectures to IMBA students.
After the lecture, the College Vice Dean He Shurong took a group photo with the two experts to mark the occasion, and gave them a thanks letter.
