It’s a comprehensive knowledge and ability structure, which trains students to be patriotic, devotion in environmental protection, and high social responsibility talents in environmental science and technology.
Social science knowledge: have the relevant knowledge in general literature, history, politics and moral.
Natural science knowledge: have the knowledge of math, chemistry, computer science, physics knowledge.
Professional knowledge: Master the basic knowledge, including introduction to environmental science, environmental chemistry, environmental monitoring, environmental microbiology, biochemistry, environmental ecology; master the knowledge of water pollution control, air pollution control, solid waste control, noise pollution control, environmental assessment, environmental management, environmental planning, and be familiar with relevant national policies and regulations in environmental protection and utilization of natural resources.
Instrumental knowledge: Be able to search literatures in Chinese and English; be able to read and exchange in English; have the ability of data statistics and science writing, and master computer operation skills.
Ability of knowledge acquisition: has the ability of study independently, computer application, communication; master the information retrieval and information obtain method by the modern information technology, especially learn the developing of environmental science and engineering front, the environmental research field, and the environmental protection industries.
Ability of knowledge application: Through the gained knowledge and skills, be able to research, design and manage the advanced developments, theories and technologies in research field of environmental science and engineering;
Ability of innovation: has the strong ability of innovative thoughts, be able to carry out experiments and technology innovation.
The goal of this program is to train the students to have the concept of sustainable development. Through these courses, the students will build a solid theory foundation of environmental science and engineering; will possess the knowledge of pollution control, such as water, air, solid and noise pollution control;
Degree Courses are the most important of all, which are the foundation of other major courses. Degree Courses must have clear objectives, detailed plan and scientific evaluating methods in teaching. In the full assurance of credits under the premise, take a variety of ways to improve teaching and learning of degree courses.
